dc.description.abstract | This article explores the intersection of populism with healthcare systems and medical sciences, emphasizing the vulnerability of these fields to populist narratives. It examines how the complexity of healthcare systems, combined with emotional stress and systemic shortcomings, fosters dissatisfaction and promotes populist attitudes. Specific attention is given to the Polish healthcare system, highlighting universal tendencies in the rise of populist rhetoric. The paper analyzes mechanisms such as simplifying complex issues, fostering anti-elitist attitudes, and creating conspiracy theories. It also investigates the role of public perception in shaping healthcare debates and decision-making. By addressing these challenges, the article aims to contribute to the understanding and mitigation of the influence of populism on healthcare systems. The findings emphasize the need for transparent, informed, and inclusive healthcare policies to counter populist tendencies effectively. | pl |
