dc.description.abstract | This paper explores the challenges and opportunities for women in religious contexts, focusing on the role of women within Christian traditions. It examines the historical and theological foundations of gender roles in the Church, highlighting how patriarchal interpretations of the Bible have shaped women’s limited participation in ecclesiastical hierarchies. While the Bible presents examples of significant female figures, cultural and societal norms have often restricted women’s roles. The paper emphasizes the need to reevaluate these traditions in light of contemporary demands for gender equality. It also critiques the impact of religious fundamentalism on women’s potential and self-perception. Finally, the study advocates inclusive reforms to unlock the contributions of women in religious communities. | pl |
